The Notice on a temple in Haridwar says: Beware of Pickpockets. As they say, holiness and profanity goes side by side in India!
Guys, after the contract with my employers expires in about two months, I’m going to India again. I’ll be in India for a longer period this time. My plan is to study different meditation and spiritual practices. I’ll be also making some political, economic and sociological investigations. I happened to meet a few interesting people in my last visit to India. And they all have encouraged me to continue my pursuits. However, it’s better not to disclose everything before the completion of the mission.
Some of the pictures from my earlier visit were accidentally deleted from my mobile phone. Hence, looks like i can not entertain you guys with the stories from my earlier visit any more. Among them was the story of a 91-year-young man who identified himself as a ‘Swatantrata Senani’ or the ‘Freedom Fighter’. He lives alone near a beach, and i learned quite many things from him. Another story was of two female travel companions on the train, one Gujarati and another Rajasthani. Generally I’m shy to open up with people unless it’s necessary, but I happened to be friends with them through the two little kids of the Gujarati Woman. The two women soon discovered that I’m not a male chauvinist pig like others menfolks 😆 , and i was really sorry to part with them.
