“Some leaders have tried to take action that was against cultural, social and traditional values,…”
‘Suspended’ King Gyandera of Nepal
Whenever the stone god Dolakha Bhimsen sweats, be prepared for the impending disaster – so the believers claim.
Similarly, whenever the ‘living incarnation of God Vishnu,’ King Gyanendra of Nepal speaks, be sure that something very ‘interesting’ is in the offing.
And the self-proclaimed ‘constructive’ God has finally broken his two years long silence, alleging the political parties for going against people’s aspirations, i.e. declaring Nepal a republic.
The Constituent Asembly elections slated for April 10 drawing nearer, it’s but obvious that all the stakeholders would flex their muscles.
And the King cites a ‘survey’ which states that more than 49 pc of people still wish to back up monarchy in some form.
Moreover, the Indian Hindu strongman L K Advani has already expressed his anger for declaring Nepal a republic.
Besides, a number of ‘prminent’ leaders from all parties have shown their open attachment toward the monarchy.
And both the experts and commoners fearing Nepal heading the Kenyan way, how could the hitherto ‘God’ of Nepal fail to see, in his own own words – ‘the silver lining among the black clouds.’
Hence, students, intellectuals, entrepreneurs, & professionals – pack up and rush off to greener pastures asap!
Or, stay and participate in the re-enactment of a
17th century drama forgotten elsewhere.
