The Resignation Letter of a Copy-Editor
A Copy-Editor associated with Nepal’s popular business daily Arthik Abhiyan has asked us to publish his resignation letter on this blog:
I feel really sorry to resign from Nepal’s popular business daily Arthik Abhiyan. I loved my job and the Abhiyan management was very understanding toward me. However, I’m forced to resign from my post because of a cunning manipulator. The name of this cunning manipulator is Mr. Rajendra Parajuli.
Mr. Rajendra Parajuli considers himself a poet and writer. However, people like Mr. Parajuli destroy an organization. Mr. Parajuli manipulates one staff against another for his vested interest. He constantly backbites and blackmails others. And because of this cunning man, I’ve to resign from an oraganisation I really love so much.
Mr. Rajendra Parajuli has been harassing me since the day I joined the office. He was scared that I’d take his position. And he’s been creating enmity among the staffs. I’d like to make my colleagues to beware of Mr. Parajuli’s intentions.
Ironically, I’m resigning for the sake of Mr. Parajuli himself. Even if i’ve done everything to assure him that i’d not come in his career path, Mr. Parajuli has been harassing me through fellow colleagues. I’ve been tortured so much that I might lose my temper someday and attack him, which I don’t want to do for the sake of Mr. Parajuli’s kids. Therefore, I’m compelled to resign from my post even at the cost of uncertainly about my future.
I’m immensely thankful to Chairman Mr. Madan Lamsal, Former Editor Mr. Achyut Wagle, Executive Director Mr. Keshab Gautam and Director Ms. Sabita Subedi as well as my fellow colleagues for their great understanding toward me. And I still look forward to work for Abhiyan from the day Mr. Parajuli is out from the Organization.
