it’s really shameful of the Maoists’ cadres to vandalize Nepal’s largest media house The Kantipur and threaten the journalists and management there.
And supporting them by Maoists Supremo duo Prachanda and Baburam might cost them their erstwhile respect.
How can the Maoists do such things to Kantipur, whose editor and publisher were once pesecuted for publishing Baburam’s interview.
Has Prachanda forgotton that he had once praised Kantipur of its daring coverage of the April Revolution against the Royal Government?
Although the current socio-political atmosphere is such that some amount of force is inavoidable to get oneself heard, enough is enough.
Besides, if Maoists can die for their ideals, do they think other people are so cowards that they’ll submit their freedom of speech to barbarious activities.
